Our speakers for Ignite Cardiff #6 were…
Julian is co-founder of Hoffi, a Brand and strategy company based in Cardiff Bay. He is also co-founder of ARK LAB and is particularly interested in how games can be used to involve and aid in the process of understanding to new thinking and concepts. He is a regular member of Cardiff Design Festival and has with his furniture exhibited and sold worldwide. He is also a keen climber and thinks it is the only place he can get some peace.

Originally from Aberystwyth, Ben moved to Swansea in 1997 to study psychology and philosophy, the natural progression from which was to run an inclusive youth circus, Circus Eruption, for the next 5 years.
He is currently a creative trainer for Dynamix, a training and consultation cooperative focussing on all aspects of working with children and young people. Play and creativity are core values for Dynamix, and encouraging adults to re-embrace play in their lives is Ben’s personal mission!
Ben is a jack of all trades, surfer, juggler, stiltwalker, Welsh speaker, amateur electrician, volunteer, skateboard maker, snow sculpter, gym-rat, playstation addict, kite flyer, home-owner, breaking records (largest gathering of Zombies), diy-ignorer, marmite patter and more. Ben is also easily distracted.
Last year he taught himself to unicycle so he could take part in a 140 mile coast to coast unicycle ride. Glutton for punishment he will be unicycling 260 miles from London to Swansea this summer with his partner, Amy. Because they can.

Ceri Harris is a 37 year old single parent and carer for her father.
By day she works for the NHS and by night gets together with a group of other likeminded ladies and shimmys for good causes.
Ceri uses the art of burlesque to raise money for different charities and raised £5.5k last year.

DK is the founder of MediaSnackers.
MediaSnackers was a term DK coined back in early 2006 whilst describing what young people were doing with media—the site was launched a few months later in June.
He has an educational background in communications and media, plus a professional background in local government (he was the UK’s first and only Corporate Youth Officer). Additionally, DK authored the recent publication, Zen and the Heart of Social Media.
